As we know computers mainly consist of two components – hardware and software. Many of these hardware components are used to interact with the computer. These hardware components are called input and output devices.
Difference between input and output devices
Input Devices
Hardware components used to send any data or instruction to the computer are called input devices. These components get the data and instructions from the user or any other device and convert it into machine language before sending it to the computer.
Examples: Keyboard, Mouse, Trackball, TouchPad, Joystick, Lightpen, Scanner, Webcam, etc.

Output Devices
Hardware components used to transfer the processed data or result to the user are called output devices. These components get the processed data or result from the computer and convert it into formats that the user can understand.
Examples: Monitors, Projectors, Printers, Plotters, Speakers, etc.
